Systematic Reviews

What is a systematic review?

Over time, a lot of research is carried out in any particular domain. The research varies by relevance and by weight of evidence. You get very small studies in a single school on a few students up to large scale multi-site randomised control trials.

Podcast – ‘Why Research and Teachers?’

In this podcast, Philippa Cordingley is interviewed about drawing attention to the importance of school leaders acting as 'hunters and gatherers' of research. The subsequent sharing with staff of their excitement about particular articles or web sites can cause a ripple effect of acceptance of research as an important part of ongoing professional learning.
