AfA is a whole school improvement framework focused on the 20% of vulnerable and SEND learners. It works through 4 dimensions: Leadership of Achievement for All, Teaching & Learning, Parental Engagement and Wider Outcomes. Schools identify and champion who is an SLT member & target year groups.

CUREE was delighted to host a seminar from the 'Understanding Teachers' Learning' seminar series on the 24th of May at the University of Warwick. The aim of this seminar series was to help us take forward our thinking about the knowledge base for teachers' learning and professional growth.

CUREE has brought coaching experience and resources to support the 14-19 Workforce Support programme*. We crafted and tailored a selection of the powerful Effective Mentoring and Coaching resources, specifically contextualised for 14-19 provision including new animations of learning conversations and a set of tools and techniques that make specialist and collaborative coaching effective.
Closing the Gap: Test and Learn is a new scheme from the National College of Teaching and Leadership providing grants for schools and teachers to get involved in rigorous research. The goal is to help improve the evidence-base for what works in closing the attainment gap (CTG) for disadvantaged pupils and also to stimulate robust research and development in schools. The scheme should also strengthen relationships between schools and higher education institutions.
In two years the gap between achievement for vulnerable students and their peers will have closed by 17%; the school system will be poised rapidly to close the remaining gap. System level changes include:
