UPDATE 2 - OK we're in and everything (well, nearly everything is working). Might take us a while to find the cups and the files and we've still got some unpacking to do. But we are open for business as usual. Come up and see us sometime
UPDATE - We have successfully shifted ourselves and our stuff into our new offices on the (much more healthy for those with the bottle) 8th floor of Eaton House. This is only a few meters from our old gaff so just as convenient for the railway station and inconvenient for parking.
All the computing kit has been moved over and the key bits (e.g. routers and and servers) are back in action so digital communication is restored. Not everyone's computer has been set up yet but this should all be done by tomorrow morning.
Our landlines are still off as our new wizzbang digital system is being initialised in the morning but that too should be working by lunchtime.
Sorry - the mountains bit was just a gratuitous bit of headlining. The real story is that CUREE is relocating its offices on 16th and 17th January. We are not moving far but the process is pretty disruptive of normal service. We will be largely incommunicado from Noon Thursday to Noon Friday though we are hopeful of being back on line a bit earlier than that on Friday. The practical situation wiil be
- no phone service in the 'dark' period (though some of us can take mobile calls)
- intermittent email access (our emails will continue to work but we may not have a working computer to access them)
- the web sites will be unaffected.
I'll post a notice as soon as normal service is resumed
