CUREE’s work to improve teaching and learning is undertaken with many other organisations in the education world. With the Department for Education we created The Research Informed Practice Site (TRIPS) and support the National Teacher Research Panel. We worked with the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) on the National Framework for Coaching and Mentoring and the long term evaluation of TDA Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD) programme. We have undertaken an evaluation of the Providers on the CPD Providers Database building on previous work on the CPD Code of Practice.
We have worked with the General Teaching Council for England (GTCE) helping develop the Teacher Learning Academy and for many years have produced Research for Teachers (previously ROM). We have worked with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) on their Enterprise Network, on the 14-19 project and also on a special programme to create accredited Lead Practitioner coaches.
CUREE works with individual and groups of schools and with local authorities to provide CPD resources and direct support for professional learning. We have also provided our expertise around action research to many schools through the National College's Narrowing the Gap programme.
In the post-16 sector we support the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) to improve teaching and learning with Inside Evidence, a termly print and electronic research and evidence digest.
We have close and positive links with the higher education sector, support the Economic and Social Research Council’s Teaching and Learning Research Programme and liaise closely with a number of research, CPD and ITE providers.
