Assessing grey matters: joint practice development of everyday work in the classroom

Aim: The purpose of this research was to identify, implement and evaluate, collaboratively with five other members of our A level Business team, assessment for learning (AfL) practices that could best support and develop our students A level education.

Using peer assessment to deliver content in Science

Aim: To improve pupil engagement with learning and reduce the extent of low-level disruption in lessons, to develop pupils understanding of national curriculum levels through the use of peer assessment and to enhance their ability to set targets and to use peer-assessed assessment for learning activities as a means of delivering content.

Investigating the use of peer and self-assessment to improve pupils performance when writing about historical sources

The overall aim of the project was to introduce pupils to self and peer assessment techniques to encourage them to improve the quality of their written work about historical sources.

What do you mean I should think for myself?

Aim: The project evolved as an investigation into whether peer assessment could be used to improve students independent learning skills in the lifelong learning sector.
