This project has built on earlier explorations of transfer and scaling up by the Innovation Unit and CUREE. Our aim is to develop a more widely shared understanding of the evidence base about moving beyond take up to the transfer and scaling up of innovative and/or effective practice in education. The project has drawn on an up-to-date review of the evidence base, a national consultation with policy makers from across the national agencies, and seven case studies to explore the issues of transfer and scaling up practice in the field.
