CUREE is currently working with the Education and Training Foundation, the body set up by the Department for Education to represent and support the Further Education sector, to provide a framework for structuring evidence-based evaluation of their various services to develop and build capacity amongst FE colleges and work based training providers. We are helping the Foundation to focus and align its activities and evaluation efforts at the level of individual projects and their connections with Students and providers, at the leadership level and in relation to the Foundation’s contribution to the system. Evidence will focus on reach, the quality of inputs and on impact upon outcomes through a mix of different data collection and analysis methods. The project also sets out to provide the Foundation with tools to demonstrate added value for the sector, the students it serves and for its owners.
