CUREE’s interactive on-line Research Route Maps bring essential evidence about effective teaching strategies to your fingertips. The visual of a Route Map is in the form of a tube map; each ‘line’ focuses on a key theme/development area and each ‘station’ links to a free-to-access engaging and practical development resource.
The design of a Route map helps colleagues to pursue their development priorities in an evidence led manner.
Each line is sequenced to introduce colleagues incrementally to evidence about what makes the most difference in which contexts, starting from the best current research (usually from high quality systematic reviews) on the chosen theme. These resources are backed up with evidence-based tools to enable colleagues to experiment in their classrooms/ carry out their own micro-enquiries.
The best and most relevant (which may not be the newest) individual studies are used to illustrate the key points, creating the stations. These link to resources including staff meeting tools, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, concise summaries of research findings, and micro-enquiry tools to help you evaluate impact.
