Evaluating Your CPD Programme
How do you know that your CPD offer is having the greatest possible impact on staff and pupil learning? This programme helps you use the New Standard for Teachers’ Professional Development to plan, support and evaluate the effectiveness of your continuing professional development and learning (CPDL) offer for your colleagues and your pupils. In particular you will be able to access CUREE’s acclaimed tools for generating naturally occurring evidence for evaluating the impact of CPDL and connecting staff and pupil learning.
This series of workshops will enable you to use the extensive international evidence about effective CPDL to build capacity in your school/network and create a sustainable approach to evaluating and improving effectiveness and impact.

• Develop your understanding of the 5 core CPD standards for CPD and how to really make them work for your school.
Across the programme’s three sessions you will;
• review current practise to identify strengths and development areas across your existing offer;
• identify ways of using evaluation tools to increase effectiveness of your CPDL offer;
• develop a manageable action plan to strengthen your school’s / network’s approach to evaluating CPDL;
• select tools for collecting and exploring on-going evidence; and
• reflect on your progress and it’s impact.
This series of three workshops is suitable for;
• leaders of CPDL in schools;
• heads, deputies and members of the senior leadership team;
• leaders of CPDL for TSAs, MATS and other school partnership/networks; and
• In school facilitators of CPDL.
Colleagues who successfully complete the programme can follow a fast track route to becoming a CUREE accredited Skein Associate.
