Following on a successful Mentoring and Coaching programme for a group of local school practitioners in Ealing in 2009, CUREE has been invited to deliver another tailored coaching and mentoring programme for local school teachers. Lisa Bradbury is going to lead the programme and kick start the first full day session on 22nd September. The session aims to support teachers to:
- Develop an understanding of the rationale and research evidence for coaching
- Explore the similarities, distinctions between and uses of different approaches to coaching and mentoring
- Develop the skills and understanding needed to use coaching and mentoring as a key school improvement tool
- Build capacity at local authority and school level in coaching and mentoring
- Utilise the resources to further develop coaching and mentoring in their school
- Build skills and capacity in coaching in order to enhance support, communication and co-operation
