Tools for Mentoring and Coaching

I had some inspirational training on this theme from CUREE last year.  As a result I developed a number of different tools to to further develop a mentoring and culture in our school.

At the same time I was reading research about embedding the links between School Aims, Performance Management and CPD.

The result was a webpage of resources including the following:

  • A whole school cpd audit tool to identify what strategies need to be addressed
  • An individual cpd audit tool called Yellow Pages to better identify the training needs of each practitioner.  We also use the data from this audit to identify experts in certain areas to provide training, mentoring and/or coaching.
  • Updated forms for Peer and Formal Observations to record the impact of training and identify new issues to address for individuals, Depts, and/or whole school
  • A mentoring agreement to help establish partnerships and identify their purpose for both the mentor and the mentee.
