CUREE has teamed up with Knowsley MBC to create a programme to help school headteachers to understand and develop skills in mentoring and coaching that will not only help them support new Heads but will also provide resources that they can take back to their schools for staff development.
This programme consists of a full development day on 3rd Feb followed by a half day session in March. The session based on the tried and tested CPD resources will be highly interactive, showing videos and animations, using tools and activities. The participants will become more familiar with the National Framework of Mentoring & Coaching, develop skills both as a mentor and a professional learner and have resources that can help to develop whole school workforce and build capacity and sustainability.
It is hoped that this will prepare Heads who are mentoring others in Knowsley to move into the Professional Partner role being established by the National College.
